Finance Director Bridal Duplichan reported that road sales tax collections are coming in strongly and that the county needs roughly $277,000 for the remainder of the year to meet road-sale commitments. Committee members discussed the timing and size of bond issues. Staff said approximately $13 million has been awarded so far across phases A and B, leaving about $4 million in the initial plan; commissioners urged staff to prepare for a second bond to continue planned work once final project C numbers are available.
A bid package returned for project A totaled about $4.686 million, covering multiple roads identified in the packet. Commissioners noted the importance of finalizing project costs so line items can be set and the county can decide whether to proceed with additional bonding in 2026.
No motions or votes were taken during the informational meeting; staff pledged to distribute final numbers and a presentation to the committee when project C costs are available.
