At its regular meeting, the Madison County Board of Supervisors approved a package of routine administrative and land-use items including two minor subdivisions, several hiring resolutions, a bridge posting resolution, and scheduling for a budget amendment public hearing.
Land use: after public hearings, the board approved the plat for Willow Haven Subdivision (a minor division of a 13.6-acre tract at 2871 Nature Lane enabling Lot 1 to be transferred for a residential build) and approved the Chris & Nelson Endres Subdivision (two lots on roughly 29.7 acres) while staff will hold recording of the Endres plat until the City of Paterson’s extraterritorial approval is received. Zoning staff Ryan (speaker 8) recommended both approvals based on the Madison County comprehensive plan and subdivision regulations.
Resolutions and hires: the board approved multiple personnel actions (an internal transfer to motor grader operator, a new hire in secondary roads, and other routine hiring resolutions), a work agreement to remove dead trees on county right-of-way, and bridge posting/load-limit resolutions presented by roads engineer Mike Hackett (speaker 10). Votes on these measures were recorded as voice votes with motions seconded and carried.
Budget and public health building sale: Auditor Michelle Brandt (speaker 5) presented a corrected resolution to auction the Public Health building (typo in a prior appraiser cost); the board approved the corrected sale resolution. After discussion the board set the budget-amendment public hearing for Dec. 9 and scheduled a work session on Dec. 2 for review of requested amendments and department presentations.
Community events: the board approved the Winterset Festival of Lights use-of-grounds permit.
