Raymond Park nearly complete; Cool River neighborhood park and downtown plaza move toward finish

Park-development staff told the Parks and Recreation Board on Nov. 13 that several capital projects are approaching completion.
Kurt (park development lead) said Raymond Park’s tennis and pickleball courts are "completely finished now" and the restroom/concession building is about "past 85%" complete. Fencing around the baseball field is done and playground equipment is roughly 75% installed, he said, and the last trail pour was completed the morning before the meeting. Kurt invited board members to schedule tours (with a three-person limit) to visit the site.
Kurt also reported that Park at Cool River, a roughly 7-acre neighborhood park, requires only a small pavilion to be finished; staff described that project as a typical neighborhood park with a loop trail, playground and picnic pavilion. A small downtown plaza designed in house is nearly complete, with lighting and final finishes remaining.
Staff noted a short list of remaining items tied to contractor scheduling (permits, grease pit installation for a building tenant) and said they will circulate updated photos and timelines to the board before the January meeting.
