Speakers debated the trade-offs: a single monthly meeting could reduce staff workload but create timing risks for narrow, time-sensitive decisions such as capital purchases that rely on sealed-bid processes. Staff agreed to consult with clerks and other county managers and report back.
The board also discussed posting locations and start time; staff recommended keeping current public posting locations (courthouse, a local Dunkin' location, and online) and keeping the 8 a.m. meeting start time. Supervisors agreed to maintain current posting locations and the 8 a.m. start for now.
