Cooke County commissioners voted 5–0 to appoint Commissioner Snuggs as the county’s representative to the City of Gainesville’s downtown parking committee, which the city has convened to explore parking policy and short‑term solutions for downtown visitors and workers.

Paulina Schutzeitkowski, speaking for the city, said the committee will include city officials and downtown business and resident stakeholders to develop both short‑term goals (1–3 years) and longer‑term recommendations tied to the downtown master plan. "We would like to invite someone from the county since you all obviously are gonna be impacted by this as well to be part of the conversation," she said.

The presiding official moved to appoint Commissioner Snuggs; the motion was seconded and approved unanimously. Commissioner Snuggs said he would participate and coordinate as the county’s designee.

Next steps: Commissioner Snuggs will represent the county on the parking committee and report back to the court on committee recommendations and any county impacts.
