Medford council approves call and warrant for Nov. 4, 2025 municipal election; early voting schedule announced

The Medford City Council voted to approve the Elections Commission's call for the general municipal election on Nov. 4, 2025 and to sign the election warrant required by law.
James Blatchford, representing the Elections Commission, presented Order 25,153 and noted the voter-registration deadline: "The only other important date that's not on there would be the deadline for voter registration, and that would be the day before early voting starts... Friday, October 24, until 5PM in Room 102," he said. Blatchford also briefed the council on in-person early voting at City Hall during specified weekend and weekday hours in late October, and he said residents can check voter status via the Secretary of State's website.
Councilors asked about potential conflicts when polling places are hosted at schools during school events; Blatchford said Nov. 4 is a professional development day for students and that there should be no conflict that evening. The council then approved the call for election by roll call.
The council also approved Order 25,154, the formal election warrant, and agreed to sign and post it at polling locations no later than Oct. 24, 2025.
