County previews January provider proposals, including 10‑bed recovery housing contract

She identified Burke Recovery (meeting with Drew, the group’s executive director) as prepared to add comprehensive clinical assessments to the local continuum, and said Christ Centered Recovery Ministries is under contract review to provide recovery housing.
Samules said the proposed recovery housing contract would cover 10 individuals and be structured as a fee‑for‑service agreement with a total contract amount of about $120,000. "We're looking at 10, and the contract will be set up almost like a fee for service ... the total amount of the contract is a 120,000," she said.
Staff also noted High Country Community Health is expanding low‑barrier MAT and is hiring clinical staff; all three providers have drawn start‑up funds and staff will require monthly reports aligned to contract metrics. Samules said Burke Recovery has discussed adding Comprehensive Clinical Assessments (CCAs) and that draft contracts will be available before the January meeting so commissioners can review terms prior to possible referral to the Board of Commissioners in February.
A commissioner raised a condition for recovery housing funding: that providers be able to accept residents on medication‑assisted treatment. "A big barrier with recovery housing is capacity to accept people on medication assisted treatment," the commissioner said, recommending capacity to accept MAT be a prerequisite for county funding.
Samules said staff will continue negotiating contract language, meet individually with providers, and schedule provider presentations in the committee’s January and March meetings to track implementation and performance.
