Council approves First Street work to clear site for Sunnyside Day Care after resident concern

Commercial Point Village trustees approved work related to a First Street expansion intended to enable Sunnyside Day Care to open, after a resident raised concerns about excavation on what he believed to be his property.

Speaker 2 said a resident, identified in the transcript as “Mister Schooley,” came forward saying contractors were digging on his lot. “They were digging on his property,” Speaker 2 said, and staff stopped the work pending review. Speaker 2 and Lindy reviewed property records and determined the staked portion in question belongs to the village.
