McLennan County honors Ascension Providence Hospital on 120th anniversary

The McLennan County Commissioners Court read and approved a proclamation recognizing Ascension Providence Hospital's 120th anniversary, citing the hospital's long history of services including nursing education and expansion of specialty programs.
Representatives Kara Swink, community relations manager for Providence, and Robin Tripp, executive director of the Providence Foundation, attended the presentation. Swink said she was "super happy to be here," and Tripp thanked the court for recognition of "all the hard work that started a hundred and 20 years ago with the sisters." The Court voted to approve the proclamation without opposition.
The proclamation will be made a permanent part of the court minutes and designates 11/20/2025 as Ascension Providence Hospital 120th anniversary day in McLennan County.
