At its Nov. 17, 2025 meeting the Village of Manteno board approved several formal actions. Below are the motions, movers and vote outcomes recorded during the meeting.
Tenco Excavating contract (Heritage Park storm sewer): The board awarded a contract for Heritage Park storm sewer replacement to Tenco Excavating (Manteno) for $31,976 (lowest bidder). Motion moved and seconded; roll call recorded all present trustees voting yes and the motion carried.
Ordinance 25-25 (Short-term rental licensing): After discussion and amendments described in the Nov. 17 meeting, the board voted to approve Ordinance 25-25 as amended. The board first voted to strike sections 3-25-7B (license-plate retention), 3-25-8J (tax language) and 3-25-8B (same-day check-in restriction). Following the amendment, the ordinance passed by unanimous roll-call vote.
Donation to Renville Cares (Turkey for Tots): The board approved a $1,000 donation to support the Renville Cares Turkey for Tots program and its benefit event.
Pavilion roof upgrade: The board approved adding a 29-gauge metal roof to the pavilion at a cost of $10,692. The motion passed; recorded votes show two trustees opposed and the remainder in favor.
Payment of bills: Trustees approved payment of bills totaling $168,204.12 (TIF No. 3 shown at $0). The motion passed by roll call.
