The Dalton City Mayor and Council recognized municipal court clerks Misty Wimpey, Nally Torres, Patricia Velasquez and Diana Lyra Nov. 17 for completing level 1 of the Georgia Municipal Court Clerk's Council (GMCCC) certification program.
Jason described the seven-course, online certification curriculum and said clerks who pass competency assessments with 70% or higher receive certification. He noted the GMCCC program launched in late July and that, statewide, 57 clerks have completed the entire program while five of those clerks are in Dalton.
The mayor congratulated the clerks and invited Councilmember Ferro to join staff for a photo.
