The Nampa City Council approved a series of contract awards and task orders in support of transportation and utility operations.
Key decisions included authorizing the city’s share of an interagency cooperative agreement for the Canada Road and Ustick Road intersection ($289,320.75) and approval of a task order with Precision Engineering not to exceed $1,157,283 for design work on the same intersection. The council also awarded a Streets Division expansion construction contract to Excelsior Construction Company for up to $901,600.
Water‑division procurements included a restock contract with HD Fowler Company for FY26 water materials ($210,049.83) and authorization to purchase water meters from Hydro Specialties Company ($343,274.60) under the FY26 budget.
Public‑safety procurement: the council approved a lease‑purchase agreement with Motorola Solutions for 10 AXS dispatch consoles — a FY26 payment of $585,000 and a total purchase outlay of approximately $1,045,668 spread over FY26 to FY29 — and authorized the chief of police (Chief Huff) to sign the agreement as the beneficiary department. Staff informed council the contract terms were finalized with Motorola’s legal counsel during the meeting period and recommended authorization subject to legal confirmation.
All the above items were presented as budgeted in the FY26 operations/CIP budgets and carried on roll‑call votes.
