The Decatur Planning Commission on an administrative hearing introduced two annexation and prezoning requests for industrial and utility uses and answered public questions about property lines, access and odor mitigation.
Planning staff (Chad) said Annexation 382-25 would bring 6.67 acres owned by River City Fabrication Mechanical, Inc. into Decatur city limits for industrial use and noted that any utility relocations would be at the owner’s expense. Staff also presented a separate prezoning and annexation for about 2.38 acres linked to Decatur Utilities for a wastewater lift station.
