At a Nov. 17 public hearing, CFO Anne Hahn presented Lake Dallas ISD—s 2023-24 FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) results, reporting a score of 92 and highlighting 126 days cash on hand, low administrative costs, and full compliance on multiple audited indicators.
Anne Hahn, Lake Dallas ISD—s chief financial officer, told the board Nov. 17 that the district earned a score of 92 on the 2023-24 Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas report and met nearly all evaluated indicators.
Hahn said the district—s audited results showed the annual financial report was filed on time, the audit opinion was unmodified and the district remained current on debt and required payments to state and federal agencies. "So overall, we received a 92, which we're very proud of because that is the highest rating of superior achievement," Hahn said.
Hahn highlighted several specific measures: the district reported 126 days of cash on hand in the general fund, an administrative cost ratio of 0.0982 (below the threshold for districts of this size), and a PEIMS-to-audit variance of roughly 0.1 percent. She also noted the net position reported in governmental activities was greater than zero and that auditors found no material weaknesses in internal control.
As required for the FIRST report, Hahn reviewed additional financial disclosures covering superintendent and board member expenditures for the 12 months ending Aug. 31, 2025. She reported that Superintendent Brown did not receive gifts worth $250 or more in aggregate, nor outside compensation or consulting fees, and that no board member received gifts of $250 or more or engaged in disclosable business transactions with the district during that period.
The public hearing was opened at 7:06 p.m. and closed at 7:14 p.m. No public questions were recorded during the hearing portion of the meeting.
