Robert Baron of Builders and Developers told council the 9.6-acre site would be reclassified from residential multi-household low density to high density to match adjoining parcels and allow construction of 23 single-story buildings with four private-entry units each. Baron said the plan includes two driveways (off Brunswick and West Ridge), concrete parking, an on-site detention pond for stormwater, and available sanitary sewer and water at the entrances. He also said the private streets will include street lighting.
Council members asked about buffering and lighting for neighboring homes; Baron said neighbors in the chamber had concerns and invited them to discuss buffering with his team afterward. After public comment, Councilman Schneider moved to pass the ordinance on third reading under suspension of rules; the motion was seconded and adopted by voice vote, recorded as Ordinance 2025-187.
