New Milford — The New Milford Board of Education meeting opened with a student presentation of the high school fall drama "The Internet is Distract. Oh, look a kitten." Music teacher and role-play director Miss Krizilias introduced the piece and the cast, describing the show as a comedic look at a student distracted from an assignment by social media personas.
The cast performed vignettes representing streaming services and social platforms and invited the public to performances this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. at the James Webb venue. "So if this seems like a really fun thing for you to come see, then please come on down this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night at 07:00 in the James Webb," a cast member said.
Board members then shared school highlights: the varsity team won the NJIC division championship, a coach received an NJIC coach-of-the-year honor, and the district reported recent community events including an $80,000 playground ribbon-cutting supported by the PTO. Upcoming performances and concerts at district schools were also noted.
