Smyrna awards $16.23M contract to build Tolleson Aquatic Center, opening targeted May 2027

Smyrna Mayor and Council approved awarding RFP 26‑002 for the Tolleson Aquatic Center to Reeves Young LLC for a contract amount reported as $16,228,529.69. City staff said five firms submitted bids, one was rejected as non‑responsive, and consultant Corey Engineering recommended Reeves Young as the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.

Staff reported an engineer’s estimate of about $18 million and described the selected bid as competitive. The contract includes a schedule to reach substantial completion by March 2027 and a target opening of May 2027.
