The Greenwood Common Council on Monday approved additional appropriations to the city’s fire fund to cover vehicle repairs, agreed to sign a support letter for a regional road funding application, and passed several ordinances and a bond-related resolution.
Paul Pioli, a senior technician with the engineering commission, asked the council to sign a letter backing an Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization grant application for “Smith Island Road Segment 2,” describing the project limits as Meridian Street in Old Town to Valley Oaks Road. “I’m here tonight to request common council support for a letter that we would like to send to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization for a funding application that we hope to submit by the end of this week,” Pioli said. The council approved the request by voice vote and agreed to circulate the support letter for signatures.
