Staff cautioned that the Greenway has no funding in the current fiscal year to expand, so consolidation would not itself create an expansion budget.
Staff said governance details remain unresolved, including whether additional members would be added to the Parks advisory board and how appointments or openings would be handled; they recommended raising the proposal at an upcoming Board of Mayor and Aldermen workshop so Bruce (city administrator referenced in transcript) can provide further guidance.
