Superintendent Aaron Moran updated the Tipp City Exempted Village School Board on multiple capital projects, saying post-bid interviews for the PK–8 project are complete and a total guaranteed maximum price (GMP) estimate should be available within about a month.
Moran reported that the north-side LT Ball access road has been roughed in, with a base coat of asphalt and a parking area that will serve as parent drop-off beginning in 2026. He said some stormwater lines on the north side remain under construction.
The district's new bus maintenance garage is "within a month of completion," Moran said: all garage doors and fencing are in place and the transportation director is eager to use the new facility. Demolition of the old garage and related structures will begin once the new building is occupied; Moran suggested a move shortly after Thanksgiving.
Moran also said crews are addressing underground issues tied to the old bus-garage site, including removal or management of underground gas tanks, and that high-school renovation design work continues in coordination with the city to improve infrastructure, parking and egress. He described the projects as intended to improve safety and operational efficiency for students and staff.
No formal vote was required for the update; the board will consider project-related costs and appropriation amendments during subsequent agenda items and follow required reporting for OFCC-related capital funds and bond-arbitrage calculations.
