The district treasurer told the board the general-fund beginning balance on July 1 was $31,200,000 and that, after October receipts and expenditures, the cash balance at Oct. 31 stood at $47,600,000. The treasurer reported the district’s unreserved balance was about $39,700,000, which the administration summarized as enough cash to operate approximately 170 days; after encumbrances the unreserved cash equates to about 142 days of operations.
The treasurer also reviewed the modified tax-budget timeline required under the Ohio Revised Code: the district plans to make the tax budget available to the public (administrative offices) beginning Dec. 18; an advertisement in the Cincinnati Enquirer will announce availability on Dec. 12; the required budget hearing will be held immediately before the organizational meeting on Jan. 10, 2026; after board approval the tax budget will be filed with the county auditor before the Jan. 20 deadline.
On capital spending, the treasurer said the district has paid $3.8 million of the revised $4.6 million summer projects budget and that roughly $254,000 remains with final sign-offs pending. The treasurer also highlighted TIF receipts and semi-monthly state-aid receipts.
