Antigo board approves consent agenda, early graduations, course catalog updates and donations
Summary
At the November meeting the Unified School District of Antigo board approved a consent agenda including financial reports totaling $1,006,615.83, approved 35 early-graduation applications pending requirements, adopted the 2026–27 high-school course catalog updates, and accepted multiple donations including $36,875 from Antigo Swim Club for timing and video systems.
The Unified School District of Antigo board unanimously approved multiple routine and programmatic items at its November meeting, including financial reports, early-graduation applications, updates to the high-school course catalog and a package of donations.
A motion by Trustee Jill approved the consent agenda that included minutes, overnight travel and financial reports: checks and ACH/wire transfers totaling $1,006,615.83. Trustees opened their voting devices and the motion carried.
Trustees then approved a motion to grant early graduation status to 35 students who had applied, pending completion of graduation requirements. Trustees discussed that per board policy applications should be in by prescribed dates (Oct. 1 for semester early graduation, Dec. 1 for year-early) and noted the item is typically reviewed by committee but timing in the school calendar made the full-board action appropriate.
The board approved recommended updates to the Antigo High School 2026–27 course catalog. Curriculum staff described goals to restore a regular schedule for building a high-school master schedule and said changes include moving advanced biology to a year-long course, new agricultural offerings (ag outdoor recreation and intro to egg processing), computer skills courses (Word/Excel/PowerPoint level 1) and interdisciplinary courses linking sports entertainment marketing with culinary packaging and labeling instruction.
Finally, trustees approved a report of donations. Donors included Patty Levis (multiple gifts to gymnastics, track and cross country, and art) and Aspirus Health ($1,000). Antigo Rec Foundation and Antigo Swim Club donated $36,875 for a timing and video system. Trustees thanked the donors and the motion carried.
