Staff told the panel the full commission set the available pool at $105,000. During deliberations the panel adjusted individual award amounts to fit that ceiling, then made a single motion to forward its recommendation. The motion carried by voice vote with no recorded opposition; members also voted unanimously to request the larger pool next year.
The panel recorded the recommended awards and asked county staff to produce formal letters to applicants after the budget committee and full commission complete their review. Panel members repeatedly emphasized that final disbursement depends on those subsequent approvals and any administrative conditions the budget committee sets.
