Separately, facilities staff reported a high-school window-replacement project has extended beyond the originally planned two weeks to about four weeks after contractors discovered structural issues that require cutting and removing existing sawtooth-roof windows. Workers are operating on a second shift to complete the installations; the replacement windows are double-pane and will include a film so students can see out while preventing outsiders from seeing in.
Board members were told the cafeteria and senior lounge already show improvement from completed work. No formal direction or additional capital appropriation was announced; the updates were informational.
