Alderman Conley noted the agreement included more than $1 million in turf investment and free or reduced-cost clinics for local youth.
Several aldermen asked that the nonprofit continue outreach and community engagement; residents and Friends of Robin Roberts’ board members thanked council members for support. The ordinance, as amended, passed by council voice/roll-call votes with 10 yes and none opposed.
