The council approved a revised building and zoning permit fee schedule after staff proposed updates to remove outdated fees, add an optional inspection fee for change‑of‑use redevelopment projects, and reduce targeted fees for minor residential work and sign permits to better align with peer communities.
Community and economic development director Juliana Stos said the packet includes an updated schedule and that the Plan Commission reviewed and recommended the changes.
Separately, council approved a conditional use permit for Hilltop Securities LLC (WW Trucking) at 290 Industrial Drive, allowing a trucking terminal for parking and indoor winter storage in the heavy industrial district. Stos said the site has been reviewed internally and that the project will expand local employment opportunities while accommodating larger trucks.
Both items passed on council motions.
