Council approved a one‑year renewal with Granicus (SmartDev) to continue using the city’s permitting, licensing and code‑enforcement software. Josh Finch said the one‑year renewal is priced at $13,605.24, up from the current $12,092 annual cost, and that department heads will review longer‑term options in January because three‑year pricing escalates significantly.
Finch said he pushed for the one‑year option after the vendor initially proposed a three‑year agreement with higher costs and the city will evaluate whether to pursue a longer term or an alternate solution in early 2026. The motion passed on a roll call vote (10 ayes).
The cost is included in the proposed 2026 budget packet, finance director Stephanie Wright confirmed.
