Rowan County board approves consent agenda, Washington D.C. trip; treasurer reports $2.2M month-end balance

The board then voted to approve planning for the fifth-grade Washington, D.C., trip; Jenny Cooper, the district—s new gifted-and-talented lead, said she will coordinate planning and encouraged parent chaperone participation.
Treasurer Lauren Littleton reported the district began the month with $2,865,703.44, recorded revenues of $1,652,065.76 and expenditures of $2,294,006.64, leaving a month-end balance of $2,223,762.56. "We started out with $2,865,703.44 ... and we ended the month with $2,223,762.56," Littleton said.
The meeting concluded after routine superintendent remarks and a request that staff provide KSBA conference dates for February. Trustees then adjourned by voice vote.
