The Suwannee County Board of County Commissioners opened its Nov. 18 meeting by electing leadership for 2026, approving prior minutes and moving through routine business.
Commissioners nominated and unanimously approved Commissioner White as chairman for the 2026 term. A subsequent nomination and second for the vice chair led to a unanimous vote welcoming Commissioner Hill to the role. The board then approved the Nov. 4 meeting minutes and passed the consent agenda items 5–22 without recorded discussion.
The votes were procedural and carried by roll call; the board recorded no dissents. Commissioners used the early portion of the meeting to note an absence: Commissioner Perkins was not present and the board asked the public to keep him in their thoughts and prayers.
The meeting then moved to public comment and scheduled agenda items.
