It approved seven temporary ARI grant-funded contracts for interventionist positions; Speaker 2 identified Ashley Pascal as one of the appointees. The coaching supplement list for the 2025-26 school year was approved.
Two additional band supplements were approved: a $300 supplement for Angela Clark to be paid by Northside Mountain High School and a $1,500 supplement for Mandy Robertson to be paid by North Sand Mountain High School. The board also approved a contract addendum implementing a salary adjustment for CFO Buffy Blackwood, effective Oct. 1, 2025.
In announcements, Speaker 2 reiterated upcoming board meetings on Nov. 12 and Dec. 17, said district staff are preparing the 2026-27 school calendar for review at the November meeting and approval at the December meeting, and noted a variety of school events: school bus safety week, athletic qualifying results, ACT testing for 11th graders and WorkKeys for seniors, the storybook spooktacular drive-through event on Oct. 25, a third-grade Farm City Day on Nov. 7 and a Veterans Day closure on Nov. 11.
