The city announced and the council approved two three-year labor agreements with Teamsters Local (covering library staff and maintenance/operations staff) for 2026 through 2028. Jeff Albrecht, director of finance/administrative services, presented both agreements and the council adopted them by motion and voice vote.
To fund those agreements, the council adopted Ordinance 25-23 amending the biennial budget for 2025–2026 to include the amounts associated with the labor contracts. Staff said the ordinance updates allocations consistent with agreed contract terms; the meeting record shows voice votes approving the agreements and the ordinance. No roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript.
