The Jefferson Union High School District board unanimously approved the evening’s agenda and routine consent items and approved the minutes for the Nov. 4 and Nov. 13 meetings.
Superintendent Tony Presto advised the board that Education Code §35143 requires an annual organizational meeting within the first 20 days of December and recommended holding the district’s organizational meeting on Dec. 16, which falls within the statutory window; the board accepted that date.
Associate Superintendent Doreen Pasuno presented first readings of proposed updates to board policy 3515 (campus security), adding language about security cameras and reporting and stakeholder involvement, and policy 3516 (emergency and disaster preparedness), adding staff-level involvement in plan development and adaptations for students with disabilities. Both items were presented as first readings with no action taken tonight.
A motion to adjourn was made and seconded; the board voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting.
