The Kent County Operations Policy Committee on Nov. 18 recommended forwarding the human resources department’s 2026 management pay plan, including pay ranges and wage changes, to the finance committee and then to the full board.
Commissioner Womack moved to send the item, and Commissioner DeBoer seconded. Staff indicated the item will go to the finance committee on Dec. 2 and to the full board on Dec. 4. The committee approved the referral by voice vote; the meeting record does not include detailed discussion of plan elements during the operations committee meeting.
The recommendation to advance the pay plan is procedural: the finance committee and full board will review pay ranges and any budgetary impacts before final board action.
