County board endorses proclamation supporting Hubbard County DWI treatment court

The Hubbard County Board voted Tuesday to adopt a proclamation expressing support for the county’s DWI treatment court effort. S10, representing the Department of Corrections, introduced the proclamation and noted the treatment court committee is scheduled to meet on Jan. 6 to consider final approval.
Judge Catherine Loresbach was present as supportive staff. S10 said county, state and judicial stakeholders have worked for some time on the program and that staff are drafting policies and procedures; commissioners thanked staff and expressed support for the initiative.
The vote was unanimous on the proclamation; the board did not take additional budgetary action at the meeting. S11 (a speaker who thanked the board) said organizers will invite commissioners to visit the program once it is operational.
