The applicant, Kurt Hillier, said he had consulted with Eric Kovac and will install a wooden ramp similar to an earlier approved example; he explained a root cellar and placement of air-conditioning equipment limit ramp location and contribute to the ramp’s length. He said the rear parking would remain gravel. A commissioner confirmed the tree on the side of the house will remain.
A commissioner moved to approve the COA contingent on a wood or Trex-style material for the ramp and rail; the motion was seconded and the commission voted to approve the request.
Next steps: The applicant may proceed with construction consistent with the approved materials and any planning-department requirements for the parking plan.
