Council approves 2026 wastewater rate adjustment and 2026 utility budgets

City utility staff presented Resolution 25-R-3320 to adjust wastewater treatment rates for 2026 and reviewed the associated rate schedule and memo. Staff said the proposal had been discussed at a Nov. 4 public hearing and recommended approval.
Council moved, seconded and approved the resolution by roll call. The council then considered and approved the 2026 utility budgets, with staff noting those budgets were predicated on the recently approved rates. No amendments to the budgets were recorded at the meeting.
Councilors asked no substantive follow-up questions during the council votes; the mayor called roll and the clerk recorded unanimous affirmative votes among those present.
