Mahomet-Seymour students demonstrate CKLA curriculum in board 'building spotlight'

Kindergarten students Grayson Watt and Haley Martin recited nursery rhymes the class had learned, and other early-grade students described classroom projects and games tied to study of stories and history. Second-grader Teagan Sanderson explained a classroom "potato Olympics" activity used to reinforce reading and thematic lessons. Teachers and board members praised the students’ presentations.
The segment was brief by design; administration said the board wanted to elevate student work and keep the focus on learning outcomes from the new curriculum.
