Bonner County commissioners voted to approve a quote and contract with 10 99 Fire to provide Form 1095-C outsourcing services for tax year 2025.
Human Resources Director Jonathan Holmgren said the county is required to issue 1095-C forms under the Affordable Care Act and that last year the county outsourced this service; auditing has confirmed available funds in the HR budget for fiscal year 2026 to cover the work. Holmgren recommended the motion include direction for HR to work with auditing and the Bonner County Ambulance Service District so that the ambulance district can contribute their portion for 2025 (the ambulance district was Bonner County employees for tax year 2025 and may be asked to share costs). Holmgren also said the exact mailing costs would be determined once the vendor processes the county's records.
Commissioners emphasized the importance of coordination with EMS leadership before finalizing any division of costs. The board moved and approved the HR recommendation and directed HR to coordinate with auditing and the ambulance district on the implementation and billing split.
