Everett Public Schools board recesses to executive session for superintendent review; no public action taken

The Everett Public Schools Board of Directors recessed a special Nov. 13 meeting into an executive session to review the performance of a public employee, the board said. The board adopted the published agenda by general consent before moving behind closed doors.

Board members completed roll call — President Mitchell, Vice President Herrmann, Director Evolinski, Director Adkins and Director Jackson Lawrence were called as present — and the chair noted the meeting—s order of business would be the evaluation under "procedure 52 51 p." Doctor Saltzman told the chair there had been "no changes to the agenda" before the board moved to the closed session.

The chair announced the board would recess for approximately two minutes and reconvene in the Monte Cristo Room for an executive session expected to last about an hour, "to review the performance of a public employee," and stated, ‘‘No action will be taken during this executive session.'’ The board reconvened and the chair subsequently adjourned the special meeting.
