Copperas Cove — The City Council approved a professional services agreement with TIP Strategies on Nov. 18 to develop a strategic marketing and communications plan for the city.
City Manager Ryan Havillah said TIP Strategies (the consultant used earlier by the Economic Development Corporation) submitted a proposal the council previously directed staff to pursue. The cost was included in the current fiscal year budget, with the city and the Economic Development Corporation each covering half of the expense. Staff recommended executing the contract and beginning the work with a kickoff in January to accommodate stakeholder availability during the holidays.
Council moved to approve the item and the motion carried by voice vote.
