JASPER, Ala. — The Jasper City Council received the introduction of an ordinance that would remove sections of the city code governing the Architectural Review Board, the Jasper Tree Commission and the Parks and Recreation Board.
Russ Robertson presented the ordinance introduction and described it as a proposal to eliminate those sections of the code. Councilmembers were informed that the item was for introduction only; no public comment was recorded and the council did not take a final vote on the ordinance.
