Pine County approves personnel waivers and Health & Human Services reorganization

The Pine County Board approved multiple personnel actions and waivers during the meeting. The county attorney announced the resignation of Assistant County Attorney Maria Allville (effective Nov. 14, 2025) and asked the board to waive the two-month waiting period for a backfill due to a heavy caseload; the board approved the waiver by voice vote.
Health & Human Services requested approval to hire a case aide (grade 5, starting wage $21.96/hour) with partial funding from an internal vacancy, and the board approved several reclassifications and the creation of senior positions to reorganize long-term care and social-work staffing. Staff said the reorganization has no net gain in headcount but shifts roles to better manage caseloads. Motions to approve these personnel items were moved and seconded and adopted by voice vote.
