Councilmember Tupole introduced Bill 70 (2025) to amend park‑dedication provisions in ROH Chapter 22 to permit dog parks to be credited toward a developer’s dedication requirement. DPP said it generally supports the CD1 version but requested further refinements as the bill moves forward.

The committee amended the bill to CD1 and the chair recommended reporting it out for passage on second reading and scheduling a public hearing. No objections were recorded and the bill was ordered amended and reported out.

Next steps: the bill will return for a public hearing and additional committee consideration as required by council rules.
