Board approves park fee increases and a personnel transfer for the new jail administrator

County Administrator Kelsey Baker presented proposed 2026 county park fee changes: a $2 increase for many daily and seasonal rates (no change to pet-shelter or cabin rates) and a policy allowing seasonal campers (0–29 days classification) to register during the first seven days of January. Baker said, at full occupancy, the $2 increase would yield roughly $9,500 in additional revenue and that last fee increases were made in 2022. The board approved the proposed 2026 park fees and the registration timing.
Human Resources Director Katie Zemer presented Resolution 2025-38 to permit newly hired jail administrator Mike Jamber, who transferred into the position from police-and-fire employment, to continue participation in the police-and-fire retirement plan rather than switch plans; the board approved the personnel resolution.
Chair asked staff to implement rate updates and update park management procedures; human resources will process the retirement-plan transfer in keeping with plan rules.
