Council approves amendment splitting cost for Hollywood Estates median concrete and clarifies maintenance

Staff said a recent change in the HOA board led to a new landscaping preference and that, under the amendment, if a future HOA chooses a different landscaping approach the city will no longer be responsible for maintenance of the entrance.
Council members asked whether permits were required; staff said no permit was needed to fill the median with concrete. Multiple council members noted that the concrete had already been placed by a city contractor. Council approved the amendment and the $2,500 city contribution by a 7‑0 vote.
