Planning commission schedules Dec. 2 field trip; staff announces new assistant planner

Staff introduced Emma Montes as the new assistant planner, saying she will begin work the coming Monday and that the city hopes to fill the planning manager position in the coming months. The assistant planner role was described as an entry-level position in the planning career series; staff said they look forward to Montes becoming familiar with local planning work.
The commission adjourned to the next regular meeting on Dec. 2, 2025, at 7:30 a.m.
