Demolition hearing for 11033 Haverstik Road in Carmel remains tabled

A public hearing on the demolition and removal of an unsafe building at 11033 Haverstik Road in Carmel was left tabled at the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting on Nov. 19.
Benjamin Lehi, the city attorney, told the board the property owner is "taking steps" to work with the city on the demolition and asked that the matter remain tabled. "We would request for this board to keep this item tabled," Lehi said. The board concurred, and the hearing will remain on the agenda for a future meeting.
No members of the public spoke on the item during the meeting.
