During the Oct. 14 meeting the Moreno Valley Unified School District board approved multiple human resources and policy items after first and second readings.
Human Resources presented amendments to board policy and administrative regulations (including AR 13.12 uniform complaint procedures and an updated exhibit for employee use of technology aligned to CSBA guidance). The board also adopted AR13.12.1 (complaints concerning district employees) and new Board Policy 40.18 concerning consensual intimate relationships in the workplace after a second reading.
The board approved a provisional internship permit for the 2025–26 school year to staff a hard‑to‑fill special‑education position, and approved new certificated job descriptions for an Athletic Director on Special Assignment and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker; district staff said both positions are contingent upon grant funding (ELOP and capacity grants) and will be funded initially from those sources.
Trustees acknowledged updated job descriptions for a Coordinator, Accountability & Assessment and for Parent Engagement Specialist and discussed the scope of duties and any physical requirements with a reminder to consult bargaining units when duties change.
Votes on these personnel and policy items were recorded by roll call and all motions passed as presented.
