Trustees did not debate contract terms during the public comment period. Union negotiators and the district’s bargaining teams will proceed to mediation under state labor rules; public comments at the meeting urged trustees to ensure the district's negotiators participate in good faith.
The union’s remarks were followed by dozens of other public commenters on other agenda items later in the meeting.
