The Vinita Utilities Authority convened at 5:32 p.m. Nov. 18 and approved a three-item consent agenda by voice vote before adjourning at 5:34 p.m. The consent package included minutes from the Nov. 4, 2025 VUA meeting, the 2026 VUA meeting dates and times, and the authority's 2026 holiday schedule.
The meeting opened with the pledge of allegiance, led by veteran Skip Riley. During roll call, members reported present and the presiding officer declared a quorum. The chair introduced the consent agenda and asked for motions to approve. Following a voice vote in which members responded "Aye," the chair said "None opposed" and declared the consent agenda approved as listed.
The chair noted that item 5 was unnecessary because no items had been removed from the consent agenda, asked for the superintendent's report (naming Mister Smith), and, with no new business, accepted a motion to adjourn. Motion to adjourn was recorded as moved by Young and seconded by Wofford; the chair again called for "All in favor?" and, after "Aye," adjourned the VUA meeting at 5:34 p.m.
No public comments were submitted during the VUA portion of the evening.
